About
The 912 Project
The 912 Project was started by Glenn Beck, a radio and TV talk show host, in February 2009. Glenn Beck wanted to show his audience we are not alone and there are more of us then them. Thus, he coined the term “We Surround Them.” He asked individuals to join him in expressing concern for our country by sending him a picture.
Glenn invited individuals to gather together at homes, restaurants, etc. on March 13, 2009 to watch his The 912 Project kick-off TV program. During this program he demonstrated we are not alone by sharing the millions of pictures he received. He asked we educate ourselves and our neighbors about the founding of this country. The 912 Project is based on a common belief in the following 9 principles and 12 values:
9 Principles
- America is good.
- I believe in God and He is the center of my life.
- I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.
- The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.
- If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.
- I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.
- I work hard for what I have and I will share it with whom I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
- It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.
- The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.
12 Values
- Honesty
- Moderation
- Reverence
- Hard work
- Hope
- Courage
- Thrift
- Personal responsibility
- Humility
- Gratitude
- Charity
- Sincerity
Since The 912 Project kick-off TV program, groups have emerged throughout the country. State groups have emerged as well to unite the 912 Project groups within the state. In Florida we have The Florida 912 Project http://www.florida912project.com/. There is also an effort to unite all groups throughout the country. Jared Law is leading this effort.
